Back R&D project "SubseaSlide"

BMWi funding project approved

Behind the name "SubseaSlide" is a funded project that deals with the development of extremely wear-resistant, energy-efficient and reliable sliding components, such as sealing rings and bearings, for subsea applications (pumps). In the period from 01.09.2020 to 31.08.2023 a large partner network will research and develop on this topic. The following project partners are involved in the project alongside us: Fraunhofer IKTS Dresden, Fraunhofer IWM Freiburg, Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences, QSIL (former FCT Ingenieurkeramik GmbH), EagleBurgmann Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Sulzer Pumpen GmbH.

Our concrete task within this project is the development of near-net-shape manufacturing technologies - i.e. near-net-shape production without downstream processing steps - for the production of diamond / silicon carbide components.

We are looking forward to the cooperation!
