Consulting focus: Rationalization measures and cost reduction, technology transfer and technology application
Project duration: 07/2023 to 09/2023
In accordance with the consulting guideline of the Free State of Thuringia, the company receives funding to increase its performance and competitiveness through consulting by independent management consultants - intensive consulting and process support. The results and recommendations for action are recorded in a consultant's report. The funding comes from the European Social Fund (ESF) Plus and from state funds of the Free State of Thuringia.
The aim of the consulting project was to use the current initial situation to evaluate the extent to which the existing heterogeneous system landscape could be replaced by a modern and integrated ERP system, including production planning and control, and to identify the effects of these rationalization measures in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and transparency, ultimately leading to savings. To this end, technical workshops were held with the department heads in the company and the actual operating processes were worked out and the target processes defined and documented. A specification sheet was then drawn up containing the requirements of the operational processes for the new ERP system. Furthermore, a feasibility study was carried out in the form of a prototype based on a specific product example in order to run through all individual business processes and map specific challenges in the process flow. Finally, all consulting results, in particular the individual business processes, were comprehensively presented, documented and handed over so that an implementation for an integrated ERP system can be started promptly.
