Project duration: 03/2024 to 02/2026
The challenges here are, on the one hand, the control of the extremely complex and highly difficult machining process, which can be changed by many influencing factors, and, on the other hand, the very different machining requirements, which result from the applications and conditions of use and predominantly from the specific material properties.
The aim of the project is, on the one hand, to prepare the utilization of the water-jet-guided laser machining process developed in the R&D area. Together with the semi-finished product suppliers, system manufacturers for the semiconductor industry as well as the chemical industry are to be acquired as new customers with the market launch. On the other hand, the development of know-how based on the implementation of individual and highly application-specific modifications of water jet-guided laser processing for the production of SiC components for use in the semiconductor industry is being pursued.
