Project duration: 10/2023 to 09/2026
The aim of the joint R&D funding project is to develop a complete and innovative process chain for the direct visualization of glass feedthroughs.
At present, glass feedthroughs are manufactured using a multi-stage, time-consuming and energy-intensive production process. The “MultiGlas” project aims to achieve both flexible and economical production of glass feedthroughs and significantly shorten or reduce the currently high production times and costs. This is to be made possible by combining high-resolution ultrashort pulsed selective laser sintering (USP-SLS) of fine-scale glass powder materials and laser-based joining of glass and metal. The project aims to create the prerequisites for developing new and individualized metal-glass feedthroughs and being able to offer them on the market in the future.
