The one-day internship for career orientation will take place on June 25, 2024 under the motto "Experience creativity with laser light" and offers the unique opportunity to experience first-hand how state-of-the-art laser technology works and to give free rein to your own ideas.
It begins with a brief introduction to our company, including a manufacturing tour. This gives the pupils an insight into the wide range of technical training and employment opportunities we offer.
Then things really get going: the pupils are actively involved in the laser processing production process. Under the guidance of our experts, they work on their own small project and help shape every step of the process. From design and construction on the computer to implementation in themachine program and processing on the laser system - the pupils are involved from start to finish.
At the end of the day, the participants proudly hold their own component in their hands, which is not only a creation of their own ideas, but also serves as a memento of an exciting and instructive day at LCP Laser-Cut-Processing GmbH.

What is the IHK student’s college?
The student college initiated by the IHK-Gera has already been in existence for 10 years. The goal of this initiative is to help students find the right profession that suits them, and to do so directly in the students' local region. The offer of the student’s college offers for example day internships, company finder, occupation finder and much more. It is free of charge and is aimed at students from grade 8 onwards from all types of schools.
