Young woman and older man looking at technical things

The next Girls'Day will take place on April 27, 2023. LCP repeatedly supports Girls' Future Day and provides insights into everyday working life in typical STEM professions. Girls experience state-of-the-art laser technology live!

The Girls'Day is a nationwide day of action for career guidance of girls. The aim of it is to provide practical experience in technical and scientific professions and fields of study in which only a few women have worked to date. In this way, girls can be made less afraid of male-dominated professions and become more enthusiastic about them. Girls'Day is intended to strengthen and promote the proportion of girls and women in these areas and to open up promising occupational fields for them.

LCP is participating in the day of action with an offer for girls:

"Your day: FULL LASER - experience creativity with laser light".

We offer girls the opportunity to experience state-of-the-art laser technology live while giving their creative ideas free rein. Based on their own small project, they will get to know and help shape the entire laser processing production flow in our company.

What exactly does that mean?

We start with a small company presentation followed by a tour of the production facilities. After that, things really get going. Among other things, the girls will produce a component they have created themselves, which can be a tea light, a piece of jewelry, a bottle opener or .... Starting with the idea sketch on paper, through a technical drawing and design on the computer for subsequent translation into a machine program, as well as machining on the laser system, to the final component testing and evaluation. At the end of the day, they hold their own creation and at the same time a souvenir in their hands.

In addition to a great team, the girls can expect fresh fruit and a hot lunch in our break room.

PS: LCP has been committed to the next generation in STEM professions for years - regardless of gender. We offer opportunities for vocational training or dual studies. There are also opportunities for internships and thesis work in various areas.
